Keynetix Reach Final of UKTI’s Export Awards

Keynetix – home of the UK’s most widely used geotechnical laboratory management system KeyLAB; were delighted to have made it to the final of the UK Trade & Investment’s West Midlands’ National Challenge: Exporting for Growth Awards.

Keynetix were showcasing their KeyLAB software; a management tool for use in Geotechnical Laboratories.  The software is widely used in UK labs across the country but has now been implemented throughout larger companies in Australia and New Zealand.  The newer features of KeyLAB allows companies with multiple labs to not only use the same system and only enter the data once, but also be able to view the data remotely from one of their other locations lending itself to these export locations.

Keynetix made it to the final at the ICC in Birmingham after competing in a “Dragons’ Den” style audition in front of a panel made up of UKTI and independent specialists.

Doug Mahoney, Regional Director for UKTI West Midlands said “The standard of entries was excellent. It has been extremely difficult to narrow the entrants down to nine finalists and the quality and innovation of the ideas demonstrate what we already know – that the West Midlands is a hotbed of talent and innovation. Exporting is crucial for firms to sustain their business and grow during the economic downturn.” 

The awards took place on 21st March and there were 9 finalists in all, all of which were fantastic products that have been designed and manufactured in the UK by UK companies and they will all be looking to export them world-wide with the assistance of UKTI and event sponsors HSBC and PWC.
