Keynetix are delighted to announce that Autodesk have released the latest version of the Autodesk Geotechnical Module for AutoCAD Civil 3D® 2016.
The original version of the geotechnical module was released nearly 3 years ago, since then Keynetix have worked tirelessly at developing their HoleBASE SI product and the subsequent HoleBASE SI Extension for AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Keynetix have used their wealth of experience gained from the development of HoleBASE SI Extension for AutoCAD Civil 3D and have included this in the all-new Autodesk Geotechnical Module which now benefits from a better interface and functionality.
These enhancements include the addition of: [list type=circle_list]
- Bulk control over display of 3D borehole elements
- New project interface
- Phased import of data
- Advanced filtering control
- Control strata to display and hatch on profile
- Advanced Style Manager
- Styles can be stored centrally within HoleBASE SI
- Styles automatically applied based on hole type
- Control over 3D borehole, plan, symbol, strip style
- Advanced Geotechnical Hatch Manager
- Improved layer management
- Extensive use of native AutoCAD Civil 3D objects
On a technical level, the Autodesk Geotechnical Module has gone through major changes in both the user inteface and the way the data is stored. The module also makes better usage of AutoCAD Civil 3D objects, such as strata surfaces and Point groups as well as much better styling of Geotechnical Objects.
Keynetix run public training courses at their offices in Redditch for the HoleBASE SI AutoCAD Civil 3D Extension and the Autodesk Geotechnical Module. The next course is scheduled for Tuesday 21st July 2015, for more information click here.
The Keynetix YouTube channel plays host to many videos which can assist with 3D Borehole Modelling. Over the next few weeks, there will be several additions to these videos. If you’ve not already done so, click here to subscribe to our YouTube Channel so you don’t miss any of these must see videos.
