Call for Presenters to Celebrate 25 Years of the AGS Data Format
The AGS have announced their latest conference on Geotechnical Data Management. “The Geotechnical Data Conference 2017 – Best Practice, Challenges and Future Opportunities” conference will take place on Wednesday 20th September 2017 at the Motorcycle Museum near Birmingham UK.
This conference will aim to showcase examples of best practice in geotechnical and geoenvironmental data management from all parts of the industry, including ground investigation specialists, designers and constructors.
The conference is being organised by the AGS Data Management Committee and our own Managing Director, Roger Chandler is a member of the conference organising committee.
There will be a focus on recent advances in the use of technology and the development of new processes. Future needs and trends will be identified, including potentially disruptive changes.
All data management issues will be discussed in the wider context of digital engineering within construction generally, with particular emphasis on the role of geotechnical and geoenvironmental data management as part of the Building Information Modelling (BIM) process.
The committee are currently looking for presenters to showcase their work in the following categories:
- Use of data for desk studies and GI planning
- Field collection of data
- Use of data in laboratory test scheduling and testing
- Analysis and reporting of GI data
- Collection, exchange and use of construction data
- Geotechnical BIM
This would be a great opportunity for your team to be front and centre in the Geotechnical Data Management world, so please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to present and we will pass it on to Roger and the AGS.
The official closing date for speakers’ submissions is 26th May 2017.
