anzcg2015_logoRoger Chandler, our Managing Director, has just returned from a very successful visit exhibiting at the ANZ 2015 conference in Wellington in New Zealand. The conference, which is run every 3 – 4 years, attracted around 350 delegates from around the world for a very friendly 3 day conference.

The geotechnical engineering community in New Zealand are a close and very friendly community and the conference was the perfect setting to catch up with a number of our existing users and meet a lot of new prospective clients.

Kiwi hospitality was not in short supply either. Social engagements including a Welcome Hacker at the conference opening, an opening reception and an evening conference dinner ensured that the delegates got the chance to catch up away from the presentations. All the events were well attended, set in the stunning surroundings of Wellington Harbour and included the very best in local beer and food. The food at this conference was something else with each meal being both a culinary surprise and delight.

Roger also took advantage of his time “down under” to catch up with our specialists CMW and Enzdata as well as meet with customers in Perth, run HoleBASE SI training for Transport Main Roads (TMR) in Brisbane and visit existing customers, including Tonkin and Taylor, in Auckland. We even gave him an evening off to check out some of the local geology in Auckland.

“We have seen a significant increase in enquirers from the region over the last 12 months and it is a pleasure to have the opportunity to visit so many customers and see what they are doing with the software.” said Roger “We don’t often get to see what they produce or to hear their success stories and it is inspirational and humbling to have our products presented back to you by enthusiastic users keen to show you what they have done.”

The interest generated from the visit was equally split between HoleBASE SI and KeyLAB and we are delighted that Cardno in Perth have already moved ahead with their purchase of KeyLAB. We are sure that several more organisations will become users as a result of meeting with Roger either before or at the conference.

Next week we are shipping Roger off again to the IFCEE conference in San Antonio. If you would like to catch up with him either before or at the conference please let us know using our standard contact form.
