Keynetix have today released their HoleBASE SI Extension for Microsoft Excel, which is available for download from The Keynetix Knowledgebase website.  The new extension is an upgrade to the product formally called the HoleBASE Reporter and allows customers to access, query and plot data in HoleBASE SI directly within Excel.

HoleBASE SI comes with CSV export options as standard but the Extension for Microsoft Excel allows the customer to go much further in the automation of reporting with a very simple HoleBASE SI Ribbon directly within Excel.  As the application runs in Microsoft Excel it gives users a very quick and easy way to generate reports, charts and analysis sheets for any data within HoleBASE SI.

The Extension for Microsoft Excel is one of two Extensions being released, with the Extension for AutoCAD Civil 3D due for release in the next few weeks.

“We have conducted a couple of training courses using the Extension for Microsoft Excel over the last few months and have been really pleased with how quickly users are able to pick up the system” said Roger Chandler, Managing Director of Keynetix.  “Once users have learnt the basics of setting up sheets it is very exciting to see what templates they set up in the course and how they use their existing Microsoft Excel Knowledge to produce some very impressive templates”

Craig Butterworth of CMW Geosciences in Perth Western Australia said “We have only been using the HoleBASE SI Extension for Microsoft Excel for a couple of weeks and have already set up a couple of templates that are helping us streamline the way we analyse and report site data.  We have found staff very keen to use it, as it is based within Excel and requires no more than a 10 minute training session (just two buttons) to show them how to produce reports or analysis sheets for any project without leaving Excel.”

Customers wishing to install the HoleBASE SI Extension for Microsoft Excel will first need to upgrade to version 1.14.0.5 of HoleBASE SI for the extension to work.  The application can be downloaded using the following link.

Using and designing new templates for the HoleBASE SI Extension for Microsoft Excel will be covered in depth in the two September training courses being run at Keynetix’s offices in Redditch.
