PRINCE2 AgileWe are very proud to announce that a couple of weeks ago Development Director, Carl Grice was awarded Registered PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner status which is fantastic news both for Carl and the development team here at Keynetix.

Over the last year, Carl has contributed to the PRINCE2 Agile process with guest speaking slots, blog posts and contribution to the publication “PRINCE2 Agile”.

Following this high profile involvement in this fast growing Software development project management framework, he decided it was time he went back to school and gained official qualifications.

In order to become a Registered PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner, Carl had to study on a three-day course followed by an intensive examination in London at the end of January of this year.

“It’s fair to say the exam was challenging and a good test of both my PRINCE2® and Agile knowledge” said Carl.  “For a number of years we have been combining PRINCE2 with various Agile methods such as DSDM and Scrum, in order to maximise the benefits of Agile such as iterative development, incremental releases and rich communication at the product delivery level, while still achieving the appropriate level of control across multiple teams and work streams.  The introduction of PRINCE 2  Agile will help to standardise our approach to tailoring PRINCE2 and Agile to better meet future project requirements and ultimately better meet the needs of our partners and users.”

Going forward, Carl will be working alongside Axelos who created PRINCE2 Agile on creating a case study for the ongoing Innovate UK Project “BIM for the Sub Surface” and showing how PRINCE2 and Agile has been successfully applied to this project.

Keynetix strive to continue to invest in developing and broadening the skills of their core team.

About PRINCE2 Agile®

PRINCE2 Agile is the world’s most complete agile project management solution, combining the flexibility and responsiveness of agile with the clearly defined framework of PRINCE2.

PRINCE2 Agile is an extension module tailored for forward-thinking organisations and individuals already benefitting from PRINCE2.  It provides further guidance on how to apply agile methods to the world’s most recognised management method.

PRINCe2 Agile is supported by an exam and formal qualification and delivered by Axelos’ accredited traning providers.  As with PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile can be applied to any type of project within any industry sector.

PRINCE2 Agile was developed in response to demand from their user communities and designed to help experienced PRINCE2 practitioners tailor management controls for agile development, while helping ‘agilistas’ understand PRINCE2 governance requirements.
