Keynetix are pleased to announce the release of the Data Entry Tool and standalone Data Entry Module along with other major enhancements in the latest release of their popular geotechnical data management application HoleBASE SI.

This release of HoleBASE SI also contains powerful mapping features to enable users to set up and theme system level mapping datasets from SHP files or DXF files, together with a full set of environmental trigger capability and exciting new features to allow users to quickly view saved searches and location groups. However the big star of this release is definitely the data entry process that has now been added to HoleBASE SI.

Keynetix’s goal was to create a tool that was the quickest and easiest way to enter data into HoleBASE SI. They have set themselves a high benchmark as they wanted it to be even quicker and easier than using Excel and initial user feedback has been very positive.

“I am really impressed” Said Paul Dunlop of Causeway Geotech in Northern Ireland “I was a little worried by the data entry but what we have with the data entry tool is exactly what we need.”

The Data Entry Tool has different data entry profiles, so your users will see different screens depending on what type of data they are entering. Each Profile contains a series of steps, and each step can contain one or more data entry grids so you can enter similar data on the same screen.

The tool can be navigated with or without a mouse, allowing efficient data entry staff to work without taking their hands off the keyboard. It also includes default values for fields and copying functions that will reduce data entry time even further.

Everything about a data entry profile is customisable, so if you want to change what is shown, or create your own profiles, then this can be easily be done so you can setup a system that is tailored to your exact requirements. Click the video below to learn more.

The Data Entry Tool is also available as a standalone application called the “Data Entry Module”

The Data Entry Module works in exactly the same was as it does inside HoleBASE SI – It even looks identical. Data is saved and accessible to other HoleBASE SI users immediately and existing locations can also be retrieved and edited and full log preview viewed on screen.

“The standalone Data Entry Module reduces the learning curve for data entry staff, speeds up your data entry and is available for less than 1/3 of the cost of a full HoleBASE SI Standard licence.” said Keynetix Managing Director, Dr Roger Chandler “We are really pleased to be able to launch this application ahead of schedule and look forward to getting feedback from our many users.”
