Please note that the following news item is an archived article. Therefore any links and information may now be out of date.

The new version of software which is now available for upgrade to your existing devices; improves performance and has a number of new features, some of which are listed below.  All of which are available at no extra cost:

Improved AGS output

We have increased the number of fields exported from KeyLogbook to completely conform to the AGS 4 standards and files are more easily identifiable. This now imports seamlessly into AGS compatible software such as HoleBASE SI.

GPS Location

KeyLogbook now has a fully operational GPS location recording facility embedded in the software.  This enables accurate exploratory hole positions to be exported along with other AGS data, thus allowing the recipient of the data to instantly locate the borehole position on a map or software.  Orientation and height can also be recorded.

Updated Pick Lists

Many of the existing pick lists have been updated to include new word descriptions.  This allows even more flexibility in describing your work without the need to type in those descriptions.

Trial Pit Template Added

Due to huge demand, KeyLogbook now has a Trial-Hand pit template.  This allows both these types of exploratory hole to be recorded in full, with the same accuracy and label printing function which has made version one so popular.  The ability to be able to free hand draw the pit face has also been added to this template.

Improvements to the Functionality

The team have spent a great deal of time just improving how things work and operate.  These are not always easy to see, but the performance has been increased across the board.  Various niggles and wording issues have been addressed along with more flexibility in how things can be recorded.

Company Details

Company details can now be imported and exported to different devices allowing easy setting up of either new devices or just swapping over.

New Devices

Should you be looking at adding new devices to your expanding fleet, then you can benefit from a faster, brighter screened machine with improved battery life.

Here at Keynetix, we are very excited to be releasing the next version of KeyLogbook and will be holding a webinar to introduce users to the new version.  The webinar will take place on Friday 18th October at 3pm BST, to book your place, please click on the link.

“This upgrade to KeyLogbook has been eagerly anticipated by the existing users and a number of companies looking to place orders for the units following our success at the Ground Engineering awards.  I am confident that the large number of additional capabilities within this release will help more organisations offer same day electronic and AGS reporting to their clients.” said Keith Spires – Operations Director at Equipe.

The latest version can be downloaded from the following link, and will install by just running the setup from the Zip file.  As always, we recommend backing up all of your existing data before upgrading.  Once installed, you will then be able to see for yourself the very latest KeyLogbook.
