Record Breaking BIM Webinar Available for Replay

Last week saw our largest ever attendance at a Keynetix webinar.  The “Role of Geotechnical Data in BIM” presentation with Autodesk attracted nearly 300 people for the event and we were delighted to see over 28 different countries represented live on the call.

The hour long presentation saw Autodesk BIM expert Jack Strongitharm, and our very own AutoCAD expert, Gary Morin, introduce the general concepts of the BIM process before illustrating the advantages of BIM from a geotechnical perspective.
“Judging by the number of questions during the call and afterwards it is clear that there is a great deal of confusion over how to integrate Geotechnical data into the BIM process” said Gary “We are working hard with our users at the moment to try to demystify the process and show them that it is not difficult to achieve.  The fact that the geotechnical industry already shares data via AGS format makes the transition to BIM a lot easier and we were pleased to see a number of comments after the webinar from people who now understand what BIM is and what they need to do”

The webinar also included a demonstration on how geotechnical borehole data can be added into a BIM model using the existing KeyHOLE application,  and demonstrations of Autodesk Navisworks.
