After man years of development; HoleBASE SI Template Studio has recently been released, it’s issue being marked by a number of accompanying events.  In a popular webinar Roger Chandler demonstrated how a borehole log might be designed, this being followed some days later by the first presentation of our Template Design for HoleBASE SI course.  This course includes a half day of Template Studio specific material, the HoleBASE SI Extension for Excel, Data Entry Feedback Tool and the design of Data Entry profiles also being showcased.  The next scheduled course is 19th February 2015, click here to book your place.

HoleBASE SI Template Studio can currently be used to design header sheets and logs.  Combined logs – templates which change according to the type of drilling method used (as recorded in the “Depth Related Exploratory Hole Information” grid in HoleBASE SI) – can also be specified.  There are also plans to allow users to design section, AutoCAD Civil 3D log trips and site plan templates in future releases.

Some HoleBASE 3.1 users who met the appropriate criteria with have taken advantage of our template design service to help facilitate the migration to HoleBASE SI.  This was a limited time service which exploited interim in-house tools rather than a design package with a user facing interface.  With the release of Template Studio this service is now formally withdrawn, although we continue to offer our paid-for bespoke design service.

The templates created for HoleBASE SI with the in-house interim tools are not compatible with the new HoleBASE SI Template Studio. The templates can still continue to be used with HoleBASE SI, but you will not be able to edit them with the software. If you wish to edit the templates they will need to be recreated from scratch, this can be done by you with template studio or through the Keynetix paid-for bespoke design service.
