Presentations in Doha and Las Vegas this November

Keynetix will be presenting a paper entitled “The 5 ways to maximise your use of Geotechnical data” at the Geotechnica ME conference in Doha at the start of November 2012.  This is the first time Keynetix will have visited the State of Qatar and we are looking forward to meeting our local users and hopefully showing other local companies what can be achieved with high quality data management on site , in a construction laboratory or in the client’s BIM model.

“We are very pleased that Roger Chandler from Keynetix is able to attend and speak at the event.” said Julian Lovell, organiser of the event for the Equipe Group.  “I am sure the delegates will enjoy and learn from Roger’s enthusiasm and knowledge on the subject of geotechnical data management and it will be a great introduction to the session on The Geotechnical Data Journey – a phrase coined by Roger Chandler and Rodney Hutchinson in one of their early technical papers.”

The event will also give Keynetix the opportunity to show the local laboratories the benefits of using a LIMS that is specifically designed for Geotechnical and Construction data .We will also be conducting customer and laboratory visits on the 6th November and be available at our stand throughout the conference.

Roger will be joined on our stand by Jack Strongtiharm, one of the World’s leading Autodesk Civil 3D® team members and will be working with Autodesk® in our role as Industry Partners to provide data for their presentation at the conference.   So whatever your geotechnical or CAD data requirements may be, we will be able to help you over the two day conference.

If you would like to book an appointment to meet with Roger Chandler either at your offices or at the conference please contact us using our contact form.  For more information on the conference please visit the GeotechnicaME website at http://www.equipegroup.com/services/geotechnicame/conference.html

Also Gary Morin, our resident AutoCAD® expert and Keynetix Technical Director has been chosen to present an hour long master class at this year’s Autodesk University in Las Vegas on Tuesday 27th November.
Gary’s subject will be “Using Geotechnical Data in AutoCAD® Civil 3D” and already has nearly 100 people registered to attend the class.  In the class Gary will be teaching how to use the new AutoCAD Civil 3D to display and model subsurface data for infrastructure design work. The class will show how borehole data can be imported and used within AutoCAD Civil 3D software to greatly increase productivity for geotechnical engineers.

“So often we find companies use a software program for producing borehole logs but do not fully utilise the data past this point as it is too time consuming to rekey or manipulate the data into the right format.” says Gary “This is an excellent opportunity to show users, managers and designers how the use of dynamic geotechnical data within Civil 3D can transform the way their organisation views their geotechnical data”
The conference gives Autodesk users an enormous range of classes for all users of the Autodesk suite of products.  If you are unable to attend yourself then please let others who may be attending from your organisation know about Gary’s class and we look forward to showing you or them some pretty cool Civil 3D stuff on the 27th November.
