The 2013 Keynetix User Group Conference was one of the best yet with over 100 delegates and 7 exhibiting companies.  We changed the format slightly again for this year and it seems the majority of you were very happy with it.

Presentations

Unfortunately not everyone who wanted to be there could be, as the British roads managed to scupper some people’s travel plans. It appears from the feedback forms that those of you who were there seemed to find the day very useful, including some of our overseas guests, who travelled from as far and wide as Brazil, Singapore and Oman!

“Very good day.  Interesting, relevant, motivating.”  Judith Nathanail – LQM

Once again, we invited partner companies to come along and also have the opportunity to speak with you all.  This was even more useful this year with the introduction of the workshops in the afternoon, which enabled people to sit down with experts and discuss specific subjects.

We’ve been working our way through the feedback sheets and as a result have set up 4 webinars in January based on your suggestions of subjects you’d like covered.  We have also taken into account the replies received with reference to the Excel Extension. We’re pleased to announce that as a result of this feedback, the feature to support custom worksheets has been added and released within just weeks of the UGM.

“A very informative day as always – thanks.”  Russell Jordan – RPS

We will also be taking into account some of the comments made about the workshops to ensure that everyone gets the maximum out of the day at future events.  We’ll be starting work on next year’s event very soon, so make sure you pencil in the date as soon as it’s announced in 2014.

Workshops

Here’s what Richard Collings of DETS, who exhibited with us thought of the day “Data transfer is a key element of the laboratory service and the 2013 Keynetix UGM was a great opportunity to keep in touch with developments in the handling and presentation of data using HoleBASE SI and KeyLAB for the geotechnical and environmental sectors.

The workshop sessions, new to the Keynetix UGM,   gave a real opportunity to have time to speak to delegates about the work they undertake and have generated opportunities to develop new business with new clients. Look forward to exhibiting at the 2014 UGM.”

Keynetix would like to thank all of the companies who exhibited at the event, they were:

British Geological Society

CADline
