Redditch UK, 16th December 2011
Keynetix are pleased to announce today that Solutions Research Centre (SRC) will now sell and support Keynetix’s HoleBASE, KeyHOLE and KeyAGS products in Hong Kong. The agency will enable Keynetix to supply an improved support service to their growing Hong Kong user base and will be especially useful for consultants who are using the Civil Engineering Development Department (CEDD) AGS facility.
Keynetix started investigations for representation in Hong Kong at the start of 2011 and have been assisted throughout by the Passport to Export scheme with support from UKTI. The signing of the agreement took place during the third visit to the region in six months by Keynetix’s Managing Director, Dr Roger Chandler, and is the result of nearly eight months research into the territory and potential agents.
Solutions Research Centre has been providing engineering software solutions to the Civil Engineering industry for 15 years in Hong Kong and they currently sell and support other geotechnical software products such as Plaxis. “Their knowledge of the industry’s requirements, experience in selling and supporting engineering applications and their strong ethos on customer support were our main reasons for selecting SRC” said Keynetix Managing Director, Dr Roger Chandler “We look forward to assisting them in re-establishing our products in Hong Kong and assisting our existing and new customers in the region to make the most of available AGS data”
“We have a very selective policy and put our name behind the products we support. “ said Solutions Research Centre Managing Director, John Li “HoleBASE is a fantastic tool for consultant engineers in Hong Kong and its capabilities and ease of use far exceed its competitors here. We are looking forward to showing the system to our existing client base and significantly expanding the number of users here in 2012 and beyond.”
The Hong Kong HoleBASE team will be led by SRC Operations Manager, Lawrence Yun. Mr Yun is currently liaising with the HoleBASE team in the UK on a daily basis and discussions are already in place to run the first HoleBASE user group meeting in Hong Kong in 2012. “The close working relationship between Keynetix and Autodesk and the large online training resources available to users are two of the reasons we chose to work with Keynetix.” said Mr Yun. “These two factors and our strong local presence will enable the HoleBASE UK and Hong Kong teams to deliver an exciting future for our customers here in Hong Kong.”
The appointment of the Hong Kong agent is part of Keynetix’s plans to better serve their customers outside of the UK. Keynetix are currently investigating agents and representation in other areas around the world and interested parties should contact Dr Roger Chandler for further details.
