Peter Keeton Joins the Keynetix KeyLAB Team

Peter KeetonKeynetix are pleased to announce that as a result of the recent success of the KeyLAB program, Peter Keeton has joined Keynetix to further strengthen the KeyLAB team.  Peter has over 40 years of experience working in and managing geotechnical laboratories for Soil Mechanics and has been an influential member of the CEN European standards working group on geotechnical testing.

“We are delighted to have such a prominent member of the geotechnical testing fraternity join the team.” said Keynetix Managing Director, Dr Roger Chandler “It is a sign of the strength of the KeyLAB product that Peter has chosen to come and work with us and we look forward to his expertise helping customers get even more benefits from the product.”

Peter was one of the original beta partners for KeyLAB when it was initially developed in 2002 and has been a user and implementer of the system ever since.  Peter has already started work on revamping the ASTM and BS input sheets and reports which Keynetix will make available free of charge to all KeyLAB customers with a valid maintenance agreement in the next few weeks via the Keynetix Knowledgebase.  Peter will also be available to assist companies with their KeyLAB implementations.

Peter sums up his passion for KeyLAB perfectly “Working with KeyLAB and the European standards were the two recent highlights in my previous position.   So being able to work entirely on assisting people implement KeyLAB in laboratories around the world is a great opportunity for me and one that I am very excited about.  KeyLAB 2 is such a powerful upgrade to the original system that I can easily see it becoming the standard Laboratory management system for geotechnical and construction laboratories around the world.”

    End of Life Support Date for Microsoft Products Affecting Keynetix Software

    In the next few months, Microsoft are retiring extended support for both Windows 7 and the SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 r2 versions. For users who initially installed HoleBASE SI before 26th September 2014 (Versions less than 1.22.0.x) and users who installed KeyLAB before the start of 2015 and who haven’t already upgraded should particularly check to ensure that they are not affected.
