The School of Environment and Technology have recently selected HoleBASE as their package of choice for teaching professional presentation and interpretation of field section, trial pit and drill core logs on their MSc’s in Environmental Geology and Civil Engineering. The package has been selected because of the modular nature allowing integration of logged information with field and laboratory geotechnical testing, geochemical analyses, geophysical logs and in situ monitoring data, and because of its mapping, site plan and cross section generating capability. The package will also be used for undergraduate project work in geology, civil engineering and the built environment.
